PRACTICAL EMERGENCY AIRWAY MANAGEMENT (Since 2001)

Day 1

Hampton Inn Convention Center, 550 Washington Blvd. Didactic presentations by Dr. Levitan on crisis performance, oxygenation, airway anatomy, laryngoscopy, and pediatrics. Dr. Kenneth Butler presents case discussions and reviews pharmacological adjuncts.

Day 2

University of Maryland Medical Center, 655 West Baltimore Street. The morning is dedicated to direct laryngoscopy, tube delivery, stylets & bougies, endoscopy, and supraglottic airways. The afternoon includes video laryngoscopes and surgical airways.

 
Day 2 of the course is entirely in the cadaver lab utilizing 20 specially prepared specimens. Extensive hands-on practice with a variety of airway devices and techniques.
