Frequently Asked Questions About Airway Cam Technologies

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Airway Cam Direct Laryngoscopy Video System?

The Airway Cam is a patented, award-winning camera system, invented by an emergency physician to improve the way orotracheal intubation is taught and supervised. The camera is a small head-mounted optical apparatus that captures the exact perspective of the laryngoscopist during the course of the procedure. Unlike fiberoptic cameras, the Airway Cam direct laryngoscopy video system never enters the patient’s body. When hooked up to a monitor and recording deck, the camera system allows the images to be viewed as well as recorded for future discussion. Click here for more information.

2. What is the Airway Cam Video Series?

A four volume set of educational videos that utilize footage collected with the award winning Airway Cam and other imaging devices. Our videos are fully narrated in English, and each runs just under a half hour. They are available in all three videotape standards, NTSC, PAL and SECAM. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fixed_SECAM-PAL-NTSC.svg for more information. We have also assembled all four videotapes on a single DVD, and each volume is also available separately on a DVD. Please see Intubation Training Videos for more information.

3. How much are the DVDs and tapes?

The entire set of four volumes on one DVD is $450; each separate volume on DVD is $125.00. Individual videotapes are $75.00 each, and the four volume set on videotape is $250.00. UPS Ground shipping on all DVD and videotape orders of $450 or more is free within the United States.

4. Who pays customs on international orders?

The customer pays the customs or other taxes on all international orders. It will be charged separately by the destination country.

5. What if I don't like the DVD or videotapes?

Are they available for preview first? We do not send the videos, book or pocket guide out for preview, but many of the cases from the videos have been posted at our website so you can get an idea of their image quality and educational value.

6. Do you take Purchase Orders?

We are happy to take Purchase Orders from medical institutions and organizations within the US and Canada. Please fax the PO to 610-341-1866 or email it to orders@airwaycam.com. Terms are Net 30 Days.

7. Can you send me some literature about your products?

Please tell us what you would like to learn more about in the comments section when you request More Info.

8. My EMS system has several stations where we conduct continuing education. Can I duplicate the tapes or post the videos on line so there are enough copies to go around?

We do not allow the VHS tapes or DVDs to be duplicated for this purpose, but you will receive a significant discount if you purchase multiple sets. Please contact us for pricing and additional information.

9. Does Airway Cam Technologies offer rush shipping?

Orders for rush shipping need to be placed prior to 2pm EST, and may not always be available, depending upon the destination, time of year and/or when our office is closed. Information about shipping costs and delivery times are available at the checkout page of our on-line store.
